On 30 January 2025, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2025/204, which amends Common Position 2001/931/CFSP to prolong the humanitarian exemption until 22 February 2027.
Moreover, the Council has reviewed the list, as required by Article 2(3) of Regulation (EC) No 2580/2001. When carrying out that review, the Council took into account the observations submitted to it by those concerned, as well as the updated information received from the competent national authorities on the status at national level of listed individuals and entities.
The Council has concluded that the entry for one person should be deleted from the list. At the same time, the Council has verified that competent authorities, as referred to in Article 1(4) of Common Position 2001/931/CFSP, have taken decisions with regard to all the other persons, groups and entities on the list to the effect that they have been involved in terrorist acts within the meaning of Article 1(3) of that Common Position. The Council has concluded that the specific restrictive measures provided for in Regulation (EC) No 2580/2001 should continue to apply to the persons, groups and entities covered by Common Position 2001/931/CFSP.
