On 3 May 2024, the European Commission decided to amend Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 881/2002 in order that it may align with the decision taken by the Sanctions Committee of the United Nations Security Council established pursuant to UN Security Council Resolutions 1267(1999), 1989(2011) and 2253(2015) on 25 April 2024 to amend one entry in the list of persons, groups and entities to whom the freezing of funds and economic resources should apply
