On 28 July 2023 the Council of the European Union reviewed the restrictive measures in view of the situation in Guinea-Bissau and amended Regulation (EU) No 377/2012 so that a provision on a humanitarian exemption applicable to certain actors, as listed in the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2664 (2022), is inserted in relation to the Union’s complementary measures concerning the freezing of funds and economic resources
