On 27 July 2023, the United Nations Security Council adopted Resolution 2693 (2023). That Resolution establishes that the arms embargo measures and the related notification requirements are no longer to apply to the supply, sale or transfer of arms and related materiel, and the provision of assistance, advice and training to the CAR security forces, including state civilian law enforcement institutions.
On 09 November 2023, the Council of the European Union adopted Decision (CFSP) 2023/2487, which amends Decision 2013/798/CFSP in accordance with UNSCR 2693 (2023)
