On 17 May 2024, the Council adopted Regulation (EU) 2024/1428, amending Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 to introduce further restrictive measures, including the suspension of broadcasting activities in the Union or directed at the Union by certain media outlets listed in the Annex to Regulation (EU) 2024/1428. The applicability of these measures requires implementing acts by the Council.
Having examined the cases, the Council has decided that the measures in Article 2f of Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 will apply to all entities listed in the Annex to Regulation (EU) 2024/1428 starting from 25 June 2024.
